DILLY SISTA SERIES
Inspired by ancient traditions of weaving vessels for the carrying of tools and food, one of the earliest handicrafts created through necessity, these baskets have been made from found materials destined for the rubbish dump. Many of the fibres are unidentifiable, however, there does appear to be sisal, agave and man made fibres amongst them.

DESERT STONES SERIES
This series of embroideries was inspired by the landscapes of Central and Northern Australia, in particular the sacred Aboriginal site of Karlu Karlu (Devil's Marbles) in the Northern Territory.
Techniques used are informed by the Japanese traditions of Sashiko and Boro as well as Indian Kanthe.

COBBLED SERIES
This series of baskets represent a new direction in technique whereby loose materials such as hay and coir are 'cobbled' together using cotton string, hemp twine or waxed linen thread with random stitches.
Incorporated into these baskets are finds from the high tide line on local beaches such as driftwood and beach stones.

This basket is woven using a random stitching method with Rhodes Grass Hay, cotton twine and found driftwood.
